Montecito by Greystone Homes
An Introduction
Montecito at McDowell Mountain Ranch was developed by Greystone Homes and consists of 83 single family homes. It is located in the northwest corner of The Ranch close to the McDowell Mountain Marketplace.
There were four different models, two single level plans and two multi-story plans, that ranged in size from 2,217 square feet to 3,642 square feet. Three of the versions offered split layouts in which the master bedroom and secondary bedrooms were in separate portions of the house.
Each model was also offered in three different exterior “elevations” and had a number of customizable interior and exterior options. For example, the Presidio model featured a dramatic curved staircase.
In addition, each had a three car garage as a standard feature and the largest offered a four car garage as an option. It was one of the few communities in McDowell Mountain Ranch to offer a plan with this valuable and flexible alternative.
In January of 1999, which is the date of the earliest builder price list that I have in my files, the pricing began at 221,990 for the 2217 square foot San Miguel model and went as high as $272,490. The current pricing ranges from the mid $400,000’s to over $500,000.
