The Global Elements Showroom is a fabulous, local resource for interior designers as well as those who like to accessorize their homes on their own. It is also a great place to pick up unique gifts and they even showcase fun, artistic women’s clothing, jewelry and accessories.
The showroom, which is located in nearby Horseman’s Park, is managed by the very welcoming and helpful Tina Liston. Tina grew up in a family that was passionate about design. Her father actually managed a showroom in Chicago’s renowned Merchandise Mart and she’s worked personally with Barry Berkus, the eminent Santa Barbara architect. She’s also managed and owned retail accessory shops in CA and in AZ. Her style is fun and exciting and she has worked hard to fill the Global Elements showroom with an “eclectic mix of styles encompassing various periods”.
Curiously enough, the development of the showroom has a back story that actually begins with a young boy growing up in Southern California. Charles Glover is an MMR resident who has been passionate about home design and creating unique and serene home environments for as long as he can remember. In fact, when he was just 12 years old, his drawings for a remodel of his family home were the ones used and accepted when his parents sought permitting authorizations from the city!
Over the course of time, Charles grew his passion and extraordinary talent for creating comfortable, inspiring spaces into a very successful business. Charles Glover Interiors specializes in new construction and major renovations, and the structures and environments they have created are nothing short of spectacular.
However, as his business grew, the inability to find a single great resource here in the Valley where he could send his clients and their interior designers to furnish and accessorize the fabulous spaces he created became a source of frustration. So, in true entrepreneurial fashion, Charles decided to create that resource himself and Global Elements was born.
The Global Elements showroom is beautiful and a wonderful resource for those fabulous accessories and fine one-of-a-kind pieces of furniture that give your home its distinctive character. Moreover, if they’re not already showcasing the perfect piece you’re looking for, Tina has the resources to find it for you.
The showroom is located just south of Bell Road on Bahia and 91st Street and there’s certainly no way to replace the experience of directly visiting the facility. However, let me suggest that visit their Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/globalelements#!/pages/Global-Elements/232498546760248 is a great way to get acquainted and stay in touch.
Among the many events that Tina is planning are fashion shows and open houses for local artists and “liking” their Facebook page would insure that you don’t miss out on any fun events.
